Theatre Company Presents Alice in Wonderland

By Rainier Lin '25

"I am excited to see the whole production come together, from group script readings and blocking runs to an actual show. Even though this is my third year in Theatre Company, it still amazes me." - Ava Joa (Mouse)

The cast and crew of Theatre Company 10-12 are thrilled to present “Alice in Wonderland” as our 2024 production. The story follows Alice as she enters a whimsical world where nothing is as it seems. Throughout her journey, she encounters unusual characters who help her develop courage and conviction.

Our Theatre Company 10-12 class functions as a professional theatre company: we provide our own props, costumes, and hair and makeup items. When not rehearsing blocking or practicing lines, students are working diligently to sort through supplies in the drama room, to measure, sew and adjust costumes, and to build, order or repair props. Our student Stage Managers learn the intricacies of the play as they prepare to run the set changes, call for props, and cue the lighting and sound when we head to the stage in March.

Over the next few months, we’ll be giving you a sneak peek at our behind-the-scenes process of putting together the magic you see on stage. The beginning of a new production is full of excitement and anticipation. Below some members of our Theatre Company 10-12 cast and crew tell us what excites them most about this year's production.

I am excited to . . .

"Get to know everyone better and for all the fun of putting on a show as bizarre as "Alice in Wonderland"!
- Julia Bohnen (Alice)

"See the amazing costume designs." - Greyson Tang (Dodo)

"See how all the hard work comes together on stage." - Amy Flynn (Eaglet)

"Run around backstage this year! Last year I was up in the booth watching all the run-throughs, so it will be nice to have a different perspective." - Sorren Lu (Crab, Clubs, Two of Hearts, Sheep)

"Make new friendships as we build this show together." - Willa Marie Kriebel (Assistant Stage Manager)

"See the amazing set designs, especially how that’ll play into the “Drink me and Eat Me!” scene."
- Rainier Lin (White Rabbit)
