Junior School Progress & Goal-Sharing Conferences - October 23-24, 2024
By Mr. Alex Ross, Director of Learning, Junior School
Junior school parents and their children will have the opportunity to meet with teachers in person to discuss learning progress and goal sharing the afternoon of Wednesday, October 23 and all day Thursday, October 24. To facilitate this, junior school students will be dismissed at noon October 23 and there are no classes October 24. Conferences are in-person and on-campus. (Families may request to change their appointment from in-person to online by contacting the teacher directly after registration is complete.)
We encourage our students to be part of the dialogue about their learning and to be actively working to make choices that will improve their learning. Meetings may include students sharing their goals and showing progress and conversations between families and teachers. These meetings help set the stage for progress throughout the year and are paired with the Junior School Learning Update, which will be available October 9 at 4pm.
Junior School Registration Process:
Tuesday, October 8 (9am): Homeroom teacher appointments open for booking.
Parents can book an appointment with their child’s homeroom teacher at WolfNet > Resources > Progress & Goal Sharing Conferences. On October 7, a reminder will be posted to WolfNet boards.
JK-grade 5 parents can book a 20-minute appointment for October 23, 1pm-5pm, or October 24, 8am-5pm.
Grades 6-7 parents can book a 15-minute appointment for October 23, 1pm-5pm or October 24, 8am-5pm.
Thursday, October 10 (9am): All teacher appointments open for booking.
All parents are able to book 15-minute appointments with subject specialist teachers at WolfNet > Resources > Progress & Goal Sharing Conferences. On October 9, a reminder will be posted to WolfNet boards.
Specialists are available for 15-minute appointments on October 23, 1pm-5pm, or October 24, 8am-5pm.
There is a booking limit of three meetings per student, including the homeroom session. This format allows for all families to see their child’s homeroom teacher and have an opportunity to meet with specialists, if needed. If you wish to meet with more teachers or if the timing does not work for you, please email the teachers directly to arrange a meeting on another day. The booking deadline for October 23/24 is Monday, October 21.
If you have difficulty booking teacher interviews, please contact our IT department.
